Review of the Graco Somerset Crib
My hubby was more excited than I had been after we found out that I was pregnant. We began considering the most valuable options of the best cribs available for sale. We read reviews of various kinds of cribs and visited the display rooms to obtain a personal look at the items. My hubby particularly got infatuated by a certain collection belonging to the Graco brand - the Graco Somerset Convertible Crib. He stated the colour (we had bought the color in Espresso) was classic and stylish.
The crib was delivered a couple of weeks before I gave birth to our darling baby. My husband wasted no time in putting up the crib. The traditional raised panel and its simple line make the Graco Somerset Convertible Crib a refreshing sight in the nursery.
I, possibly, could have easily set up the crib on my own with or without my husband’s assistance. The crib is indeed a bargain and, also, the greatest factor about this is it doesn’t look cheap despite the fact that it's very affordable. It doesn't shake or create a creaking sound due to its amazing durability and sturdiness. The rails aren't too wide meaning my baby won’t get his head or neck stuck between.
What probably impressed us the most were the security features that came with the crib set like its stationary side-rails and also the metal mattress frame using its three-height adjustment. Then its sturdiness and functionality that allows it to adjust as our child develops; this definitely makes our choice a good investment. Its 4-in-1 feature converts from the crib into a toddler bed that requires no guard rail for conversion, then into a daybed, and then into a full-sized head board with footboard.
We also got a five-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects and a seal of safety and standards from the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), the ASTM International, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This is common with most Graco baby cribs.
The consumer manual also provides easy methods to clean and take care of the crib. Most Graco baby cribs require a non-abrasive cleaner. Just take some water and dish-washing liquid and mix them together while using a soft cloth to wipe any stains with. This is all that is required to clean the surface of the crib.
You may have already read a few reviews where the buyers say that it would have been a real bonus if the mattress was included. A standard crib mattress is recommended for the crib. Overall we were very much satisfied with our choice among the many best cribs available.
