video games Vs movies: They Both Offer Different Experiences, For Different Times Of Day And Moods

video games vs movies, which one will win? Indeed, the video game industry has taken a big junk out of the movie industry. Hollywood is facing more and more competition as video games become more and more like movies. Have we seen the last of the the sliver screens days?

Is this the end of Hollywood? What do you like more? Video games vs movies? What I love about Call Of Duty Modern Warfare is that you feel like you are your own movie hero saving the world from doom. You become immersed in the Video game story, and you control it. Very few people can resist the allure of power and excitement that a video game offers?

The biggest problem for the movies is getting players who, through their games, have literally hundreds of hours of potential game play to go to a movie.

There, however, is still hope for the movies. When movies came out way back, people thought that would be the end of reading. People thought that would be the end of movies, when TV came out. When Video game entertainment came out people thought that would be the end of TV.

But they were all wrong, stuff like this does not happen. Why? What it boils down to is that the more people have the more people want to have. Mall developers think that more stores means more costumers, and they are right.

Video games vs movies, is this comparison possible? Not really. They are two different things. One is a passive experience, the other is an active experience.

They both offer different experiences, for different times of day and moods. Sometimes I just don't fell like being active. A video game is like partaking in sports. Sometimes I want to passively be entertained, I want to romantically watch a movie with my wife, this is the role of a movie. Sometimes I want to be a winner, a hero, the best I can be, that is what a video game gives me.

So what is the problem? Getting people into the theaters. How do they do this? By creating gimmicks like real 3d, or combining the film concept with a video game release. It is true that their might be less and less movie goers, but now we do not even have to leave the comfort of our home with VOD. One of the best movie style video games of all time is Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
